Music
1. 1. I am loving this playlist. I've been listing to it since November. 🙃
- 2. This is our "go-to" Christmas playlist with ALL the wonderful albums from various artist - Michael Bublé, Chris Tomlin and JJ Heller to name a few.
- 3. This is such a great upbeat worship song to start the day, reminding me of my goal - to praise the Lord in every season.
Books
- Pilgrim at Tinker Creek - I finally finished it! Overall I'm glad I stretched myself to read this book, however it won't be one I add to my bookshelf to read again... or even to recommend. 🙃
My two favorites books I've read this month are:
- 1. That Quail, Robert - I finally finished it! I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted book. As I read the ending, I even teared up a little. I recommend this book!
That Quail, Robert By Margaret Stanger
Robert, unlike any other quail, was hatched by the warmth of a lamp on the kitchen counter of a Cape Cod, USA home. The diminutive wild bird grew up to be a cherished member of its adopted family and a local celebrity as well. Read it: you will never forget it.
- 2. House of Dreams - The Life of L. M. Montgomery - I am hooked! Throughly enjoying this book, I have not been able to put it down. While I aim to read 10-20 pages a day, I easily consume 60 pages. This sweet biography followers the author of Anne of Green Gables and her sad yet imaginative life. I have a new appreciation for the book series and the author's life.
Just for Fun
- 1. Shoe Rack - This has changed my "organizational game." While deciding how to store and organize our small closet with the surmounting shoes tossed into bins, we stumbled upon this vertical door shoe rack that has freed up so much space. Our children can now easily access their shoes while keeping things tidy. Game changer!
- 2. Holiday Gifts - Perfect for teachers or as a hostess gift, this simple bag of dried fruit is an easy thing to assemble and provides endless joy (or until the water runs out😏). We have received many positive and elated remarks of thanks after friends have used this gift. They keep adding more water to make the concoction last longer.
Stovetop Fall Simmer Pot
I enjoyed putting this little gift together. While it takes a few hours for the fruit to dry in the oven, the result is worth it! (Instructions coming soon)
- 3. Make-up - I know very little about make-up. However, my sisters are a wealth of information as I navigate what make-up I actually need - less is more. Which is why I'm thankful for clean and simple brands like Merit and Honest. I recently switched to Honest mascara and I'm enjoying it so far. I love that they use clean ingredients and are affordable.
